"he's just not that into you"
a simple answer to a mind-boggling, sorrow drowning, head cracking question

just caught that with p2 today and it left me with lots to think aboutat the start of the show, it was flooded with crying girls sobbing and asking why why whywhy did he do that. why would he say that. etcetc

and the girls comfortingly replied saying "he doesnt deserve u." "he's doing this for himself" "he's probably afraid of ur emotional maturity"right. what a bunch of bullshit right i hear u mutter
but then again, when our friend's just been dumped or have just ended a relationship, we don't say "oh he probably didnt like u that much after all" or "u'll probably just his side dish and not his main course so he doesnt bother"no we don't say that. we have to console the poor souls.

so we come up with excuses. yes thats the word. those reasons that people give as for why guys are jerks are just excuses meant to make one feel bettermaybe at the end of it i would feel better if someone told me how the guy wasnt worth it etcbut that is not the reason why i'm alone. it doesnt explain anything

actually i think deep down inside, we all know the reason why we're being dumped. the answer is right at the top of this post.but we deny it. we try to protect our ego, our self esteem, and so we suppress that thought and think, maybe it was something we did! or didnt do! or any other stupid reasonsi mean seriously, if a guy was really into you, he wouldnt care if u did something wrong or didnt do something right. ok maybe he would care. but he wouldnt dump u for that.
if he did, he must have been looking for a real good excuse to do so and this was his one big opportunity

we find every other excuse other than the most obvious one. the reason why he's not calling me anymore.. hmm maybe he lost my number? maybe his dog ate the sheet of paper? maybe his phone was down? blahblahblah
or maybe he isnt that interested in me enough to want to call? i'm sure all of us have that little glimmer of hope that all's not lost yet. which is the reason why we live in obstute denialto keep that little glimmer of hope burning, to think that maybe, just maybe he really likes me and want to go onno one wants to have that little glimmer noxed out like a flame. thats depressing. like a pessimist. but, then again, its the practical way of reality.

deep down inside, everyone's afraid of rejection. from when we were kids, rejection already plays a big role.
afraid to be socially rejected, some kids take to bullying. jeering and mocking at other kids just to feel superior to them and others join in with this 'bullying' not cuz they want to, but cuz if they don't ,they might end up being rejected as part of the "in grp" and result in being jeered at tooafraid of being rejected, many people stay mum abt the guy/girl they like. if i dont tell u how i feel, u can never reject me. and i cant lose what i never even had in the first place!cool huh! but then, u suffer the consequences of not knowing what could have been

rejection rejection. people scared of being rejected by the "cool grp"people scared of being rejected by someone they likepeople scared of being rejected by the sch they wanna get intopeople scared of being rejected by the company they wanna work at.

rejection plays a role in all ages. whether u're a kid in sch or an adult at work, somehow u've got to face itand only by telling urself that "really, it doesnt really matter if they reject me, i'll just try something or somewhere else till someone accepts me" do we conquer this obstaclei'm not saying everyone has to be superman and not fear anything other than kryptonite. but, what do u stand to lose if u're rejected? other than ur face, nothing else really.only pride rightso the trick is to be thick-skinned i guess. "if u're going to reject me, well, thats just ur loss."
"i'm just going to keep trying. i'm sure somewhere out there, someone will accept me even if u don't"
thats all really positive psychology eh? think positive = do positive = positive behaviour.

just like in the movie. gigi ended up accepting the fact that she was too desperate for someone to love after tons of guys failed to call her backand look what happened, (i'm not gonna reveal it here. but u should know it. happy endings are good all the time =))

all righty, after a whole load of nonsense, i'm going to wash up and head to bed now. swimming tmr with shaz! and meeting with the eve gals on wed. and meeting with danny, xuan, and pee on friday. cant waittttt. my last wk of hol. better enjoy it while it lasts!
and here's a another panda shot to annoy vina to show off our skirts. hehe
