my fun weekend

as promised, now i shall update on the f4/1 reunion dinner.. the dinner was to be held at the rice table and we were to meet at 5.30 at somerset mrt.. met pee earlier at 2.30 at kem mrt to go round shopping but we ended up not buying anything. haha so much for retail therapy huh.... well, we walked around till 5.. it seems that we're getting older.. cant walk around non stop anymore. hahaha we're old ladies.. haha good excuse for snatching seats in the train! oops shhh don't reveal my secret k! heh heh..  BES-TIES! thats what it reads la.. the pinky heart necklace thats split into 2.. lol to think that ppl thought we were attached to our bfs with that necklace.. LMAOby the time we reached somerset, it was already 5.45 and there were only like 11 people there.. there were supposed to be 24. o...k....a.......y.... haha anyways, in the end, including mrs kaan, there were 22 ppl.
the food there was served like a buffet with plates of food placed over a 'fire' to keep them warm and we exchanged plates across tables so that everyone could taste everything.. and while eating everyone exchanged details about themselves with the help of xuan's suggestion of 'saying a bit abt yourself one by one' wahaha well, a nice idea since the last time we all saw each other was like years... exception for the clicks of coz.. and after dinner, it was time for photos!  pees xuan & me  wanlin, pee and me  xuan, na, cclia, mrs kaan, me, pee and rach  the whole lot of us exept for shinuan, lijing, sam and chengyi..  the girls!!! after that eventful sat, i met up with danny and edwina at kallang mrt to go to xuan's police day parade at the indoor stadium.. apparently he was one of the guard-of-honors.. wow.. you know those policemen that would lay their lives for the country? thats him! wahahha... however, despite his grand position, we got LOUSY seats right at the back. see what? hahahah the best i could take was a blurry of what edwina called white millipedes.. hahaha
hady mirza was there singing too.. he arrived on a motorcycle.. COOOL! haha i gave up trying to take a photo of him when all i could see was the bright lights in the pic.... so.. i focused my lens on something clearer..  THE BANNER!! haha right.. and thats my weekend for you! that'll probably be the last time the 4 of us get together again for the next few months.. with sheena studying to become a doc i bet she'll struggle to find time for us.. and what with the ndp coming up, the guys will be up to their necks with army again.. sigh. hopefully we'll still be able to keep in close touch with each other!! ;) |
