man... what a weekend... barely spent a min away from the computer typing that dreadful mcs assignment on feminism.... *yawns widely* and thats the cause of all the aching muscles and stiff necks in class today.. lol having spent the last 2 days rushing to finish up a 2500 word essay, boy am i glad to have some free time finally... *phEw*

anyways, last fri, Ling, Stanley, Deryl and me went to the Westlife concert! weehhee... hahha.. never really thought of going initailly but since there was company, i didnt mind... lol.. however, to my big.. huge... dismay, our seats were pretty far away from the stage... oh crap... simply marvellous huh...

yeah we were THAT far from the stage...

to pay so much all the way to go there to watch.. only to realize that you wont be able to see much.. we could brealy make out the faces of them... arrgh... here are more attempts at photo-taking... *shrugs*
i know.. this seriously sucks huh? well, on the bright side, at least we could hear them sing... lol... pathetic but still... from left are nicky, kian, shane and mark...

besides the lousy seats.... its really an amzing experience.. really! to actually be in the same building as them and to actually hear them sing live instead of hearing them crooning from cds is breathtaking!! their voices are super powerful! now i know why ppl enjoy going to concerts so much.. of coz, being able to photograph your idols and getting autographs are bonuses but the thrill is there no doubt...

this pic was taken when we got fed up of our seats.. and went to stand in front at the gates to get a closer look at them... clearer isnt it? ha.. they're cool! they actually sang 'don cha' by pussycat dolls? but they changed the 'girlfriend part' to 'boyfriend' wahha... ridiculously hilarious... lol

however, sad to say, the audience were not as good... there were several hip and 'happening' crowds over at the other side that screamed and responded like how an audience should in a concert.. but, alas, we had to be seated and stuck with people who treated the concert like a bloody musical... seriously! all these people surrounding us? they merely sat there and stoned thruout the concert.. well, maybe there were a few who waved and sang along but the majority were statues.. oh pls... i hate singapore's audience... its so freaking tame don u think? just compare the audience to that of the americanised countries ones... we pale in comparision.. all that jumping and stuff is what we pay for to enjoy the music right? and at the stadium, there were gates preventing ppl from going in front.. so we had to stay put at the back tog with the moody crowd.. *get a life!!*

well, it was much much better when we left our seats and went in front.. *phew* i have this sudden urge to fly over to countries like new york... LA etc now to see what their concert audience are like... i'm sure the ppl there are allowed to let their hair down and go wild... at least the idols feel appreciated right? i wouldnt want to perform in a place where the ppl are confined to their faraway seats and stone while i dance and sing.. i could perform in front of statues if i wanted that sort of reaction thank you very much...

haha.. well, the concert ended pretty fast.. it started at 8.30 with half an hr of non-stop music from the 'DJs..' and they played mcfly's "don't stop me now!" yay!!! thanks!! hahaa.... so at 10, we went round trying to find the 2 boys who apparently ran ard the stadium for the fun of it... *rolls eyes* and we took a few pics.. again... ha... a souvenir to remind us that we were there huh? lol..

Ling and me!

well, thats abt all for today... think i should go rest my brain for a while now.. seems like most of my brain juice have seeped out yesterday.. ha.. well, tata all then!!
