hApPiE mOtHeRs' DaY!!!

          '   yay its Mothers' Day! the day where all the children, young and old show their appreciation for their awesome mum! well, its good that there is actually a day set aside fro all the mums.. but shouldn't everyday be mothers' day? isn't it every child's duty to shower love and concern on their mum? why must wait till this special day only to show how much u love her? hmm.. food for thought huh.. just now we met aunty Annie and she said that whether or not we shower our mum with presents is not important.. the most important thing is that we are able to sit down as a family and enjoy the day.. yeah i agree with her.. she's a really realistic person.. envy her children lots.. well, my mum's not too bad too so no complains! ha.. anyway, i've bought a paper rose for mummie and personalized a 'notebook' for her too.. hopes she likes it! and we're probably going to cafe cartel to celebrate tmr i guess.. hotel intercontinental is simply too ex for my poor budget.. *sobz* well, on Fri, Vesak Day, i was supposed to teach Shuang Chen and Kai Wen at 9 and 10.30 respectively.. and u know what? their mum actually called me at 7+ am to tell me that she's bringing them out instead.. so i didnt need to go.. what the.. i was so groggy with sleep then.. and after that, i had difficulty getting back to sleep.. *thanks huh* then at 4.15, i went down to meet wince at the bus stop near the beach as we were supposed to go for the 'class outing'.. by the time we reached mac, it was already 4.45 but there wasnt a single soul in sight from our class i mean.. so we tried calling lilin, who was the one who had informed us about the outing in the first place.. but she hung up after several rings each time.. at a loss as to what to do, we went to find a seat and waited and chatted... after about 45 mins and several futile phone calls, we decided to go for a stroll.. and we bumped into limin and qiu xuan.. havent seen qiu xuan since.. sec 4.. and it was really nice seeing her again.. she changed quite a lot from last time.. braces.. long straight hair etc.. prettier!!! haha.. anyway, after over an hr, we gave up and decided to fill our stomachs with some junk food first.. and then lilin called... she said she had forgotten to tell us that there was last min changes coz she had to work.. and apparently, hongyi, who was supposed to go, decided not to go as he thought there was no one else going beside wee teck and lilin and jia yin.. OK... we were STOOD UP!! aargh.. they owe us BIG man.. haha.. tho its really rather infuriating to go all the way to the beach just to eat mac.. want to eat, go my market here also can.. ha.. so much for Class Outing huh.. *bleah* however, wince and i had much fun ourselves too.. we spent an hr eating and chatting and made plans to watch MI3, Da Vinci Code, Over the Hedge and Pirates of the Carribean tog.. but sadly, she's returning to Indo soon.. 24 may.. sigh.. and whatsmore, she has been accepted to LA! so she'll be leaving s'pore early july to attend their orientation.. well, i'm happy for her that she has a path to take.. and i wish her all the best too! can't deny that i'm sad that she's leaving tho.. there goes my great pal.. now who'll be crapping with me when she's gone? who'll be there to go cycling with me almost every wk? *sniff* hopefully, we can still keep in touch thru e-mail and stuff then.. haiz.. mized emotions huh.. well, back to what happened the other day, after eating mac, we headed to parkway to shop.. first thru one round in parkway.. then to popular.. then to parkway again.. in the end, we went to the arcade and played games!! it was so exciting playing those shooting ones! initially we tried the daytona and it was HORRIBLE! haha.. my car kept crashing thats why... lol.. and then we went to shoot bubbles in puzzle bobble.. it was all right until at the end when she changed her character to this irritaing doll who kept singing and sending me to my 'death'.. haha.. then, we went to shoot sharks.. the 3D was really scary when the sharks opened their huge mouths and attacked u.. *shudders* but i survived longer than her! haha.. for a while that is.. at the end, we went to shoot dinosuars!!! it was SO stressful trying to shoot the T-rex.. u'll have to aim at the circles on the t-rex's face and after wince 'died', i was left battling alone with her cheering me on behind.. it was kind of a releif when i 'died' soon after.. lol.. well, thats abt all we did.. it was already 9.15 when we ended and so we headed back home just in time to catch 'Da Chang Jin' or rather, Jewel in The Palace at 10 later.. ha..i'll definitely miss these good times lots.. hope that our friendship will stay strong and undeterred by the long distance!!! i'll come visit u some time after u've settled down! provided u pay for my airplane.. oops i mean air-ticket.. haha! gtg sleep now.. wishing all mums in the world a happy mothers' day once again! ~signing off |
