as i write this.. we're nearing to 15th Mar already... so.. HAPPIE BIRTHDAE CORNELIUS!! ha.. yeah i remembered your b'dae.. even though u didnt remember mine.. hmm.. haha.. *kidding!!* well, haven really spoken to him for ages already... ever since he left s'pore to further his studies in san fransisco, we've only chatted a bit and lost touch.. well, hope for the best for him!! *best wishes!!*anyway, i've been thinking a lot about these western countries.. have been reading lots of story books that have their lives based in countries like california... los angeles... san fransisco... etc etc....and these countries are always described as glamourous parties... teenage paradise.. with celebrities and eye-candies waltzing down the streets as u walk by..the image that has been painted for me by these books and the media have influenced my mindset.. when u say x'mas, i imagine snow.. beautiful x'mas lightings in new york.. the perfect romantic season... when u ask me where's the one place i'd give anything to be at.. i answer paris.. australia.. venice.. is it really true? are these places as heaven-like as they sound?? as much as i would love to continue dreaming about this haven, its time to snap back into reality.. sure california has its hollywood.. and its glamour.. but what about the other parts of california? i'm sure u wont walk into any part of the country to find it swarming with celebrities do u? and if everyone at the beaches there are eye-candy, i'm sure there'll be no need for any plastic surgeons to continue their practice.. and snow.... the other day daddie was just telling me how those people in florida living in poverty are miserable over snow.. the snow that he mentioned was = to 'cold, dirty, greyish frozen water in winter'.. coz of snow, people have to wear thick muffed clothes everyday and are not able to go out at all... the 'sitting by the fireplace and keeping warm' image then comes to mind doesnt it?? isnt it lovely to have some family time in front of the fireplace? just like how they show it in tv shows?but if its gonna snow thruout the whole of dec, i doubt the families will find it lovely staring at each other everyday in front of the fireplace isnt it?well, my dream has shattered.. i've always loved snow.. and x'mas.. and western countries.. thinking that life over there will be so much better than life here.. there will be guys with cute green eyes.. blue eyes.. sharp noses.. won't that be nice? with movies like 'mean girls' and 'cinderella story' etc showing the desirable side of these countries, its hard not to fall in love and fantasize about having my own fairytale in such countries.. guess the grass is always greener on the other side.. who knows? maybe some girl in california is wishing for life in s'pore right now.. if they actually know where that is.. haha.. neil humphrey's friends actually thought that s'pore was part of china.. omg... HA HA HA*thanks xianghui! or rather.. thanks! lallang loh.. haha..* u reminded me of what i had to say in this blog.. so.. credit goes to u!!! haha.. *take care and jia you k!*
